June Events (and Pay Your Subs Time Again)

Eighth in the East Festival Weekend, 18th-19th June

The first thing coming up this month is the Eighth in the East Festival weekend on 18th-19th June at University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich. As you know, we’ve been working with Eighth in the East for a couple of years now carrying out surveys at Thorpe Abbotts airfield, home of the 100th Bomb Group Museum and also at the massive Earsham Forward Ammunition Depot, better known as the Earsham Bomb Dump. We’ve also helped out with the survey at Flixton.

There’s a full programme of talks, films and events over the two days, and we’ll have a stand there as well, so do come along if you can. There’s a full schedule and a link to book tickets here.

The Third Annual WVCAG Summer Walk with Tim Holt Wilson, 25th June

Chalk & Sand Part l, The Eastern Brecks

Tim’s walks have undoubtedly been one of our most popular events over the last couple of years as we made our way at a leisurely pace down the Waveney. On the way we touched on archaeology, geography, geology, history, palaentology, botany and a splash of psycho-geography as well. And we fell down some rabbit holes. There’s more about this fine day out, and a link to book yourself a ticket or two on our Events page.
