August – Fieldwalking
After a successful first pass at Syleham on 19th August, we are returning on the weekend of 1st and 2nd September to see what else we can uncover. We have yet to properly examine the finds from the first session, but they include worked flint, burnt flint, pottery, building material and glass, as well as a Georgian penny. I hope we will also be able to return on the following weekend before the field is drilled.
