March Meeting – Steve Smith – The Waveney Valley in the Great War
Our March meeting will on March 14th at 2.00pm in Needham Village Hall.
As part of our Hidden Commemoration project on the Great War in the Waveney Valley, our guest speaker will be Steve Smith. Steve is a published author on the Great War and badged battlefield guide and an expert on the First World War in Norfolk and Suffolk. His latest book, part of the Great War Britain series, Norfolk Remembering 1914-18 is published by the History Press.
Steve’s talks are never less than fascinating, and in this one, The Waveney Valley in the Great War, he will, among other things, be revealing the answer to a local mystery uncovered by one of our Hidden Commemoration researchers. And there will be Zeppelins.
There will be the usual refreshments. Admission on the door is £2.00 for members, £3.00 for non members.
Needham Village Hall is at 52 High Road, Needham, IP20 9LB, next to the church.
