The Dunwich Dig

Access Cambridge Archaeology, under the direction of Dr Carenza Lewis, are supporting Touching the Tide, the Dunwich Museum and Dunwich Greyfriars Trust in a 9-day community archaeology project 27 July – 4 August exploring the history of Dunwich. This excavation is being carried out exclusively by volunteers and spaces are still available. No previous experience is necessary – full training will be provided.

Historic England First World War Memorials Programme

Tiva Montalbano, Manager for the Historic England First World War Memorial Programme, will be giving a presentation at Leiston Abbey on the evening of Friday July 24th about the work, aims and objectives of the programme. Tiva is digging with Dig Ventures for a few days so you may get a look round the site and open trenches as well.
