March Meeting – The First World War Memorials Project

Our March meeting will be at the Pennoyer Centre, Pulham St Mary on Saturday 19th March at 10.00am.

We will be hosting a free workshop on the First World War Memorials Project run by Civic Voice on Saturday 19th March at the Pennoyer Centre, Pulham St Mary.

Come along and find out about the First World War Memorial Programme, consider how you can identify and record the condition of your local memorials and learn about the steps that can be taken to conserve them for the future and the funding that’s available for their repair and conservation.

This workshop will be useful for representatives of Parochial Church Councils, Parish Councils, Town Councils, Church Wardens and anyone with an interest in their town or village’s history. All are welcome, and please tell anyone you know who might like to come along.

We will publish a more detailed agenda nearer the time, but the workshop itself will run from 10.15am until approximately 3.00pm and will include a visit to a nearby war memorial. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival and a light buffet lunch will be provided.

To book your free place(s) on this workshop please visit our Eventbrite page here. Alternatively you can contact us using the Leave a Reply box below or call 01379 855096 and leave a message.

You can find out more about Civic Voice and the War Memorials Project on their website.

Hi, please could I book a place on your War Memorials workshop. I have already researched four of the seven parishes with war memorials in the Dickleburgh and Pulhams Benefice, with the two Pulhams and Rushall still to do.
