November Meeting – AGM and Fieldwalking Finds Identification

We will be holding our second AGM on Saturday November 14th at 2.00pm at Hedenham Village Hall. You can find Hedenham Village Hall at Norwich Road, Hedenham. The Village Hall is just past the Mermaid Tandoori on the left heading towards Norwich. The full OS grid reference is TM 31117 92816 and the postcode is NR35 2LB.

If you want to have a say at the AGM, and take part in all of our special events, you need to be a paid-up member, so please consider joining or renewing your subscription now. It’s still only £10/£5, so good value and well worth it.

After the AGM Tim Holt-Wilson and Ashley Pooley will be taking us through the finds from our two fieldwalking trips to Syleham in October last year and February this year. We have done an initial sort through to get rid of anything obviously not significant, and as part of the session Tim and Ash will be explaining how and why they made the selections they have. We are planning to revisit this site next year as there is still plenty of field left to do. The field has been drilled with oilseed rape this year so we won’t be able to get back on to it until after the harvest, probably August/September. At least the weather should be a bit warmer.

The usual refreshments will be available.

All welcome, members £2.00, non-members £3.00
